Object: the development of national cultural identity in the history of educational theory and practice. Objective: To determine the characteristics of the national culture education students in secondary schools by means of arts and crafts in the nineteenth - early twentieth century. and identify the prospects of positive ideas today. Methods: specific search, comparative comparative, interpretive and analytical, historical retrospective, theoretical synthesis. Practical significance: the design and implementation of the special courses "History of design and decorative arts" and guidelines for university students.
