Object – age-related peculiarities of structural changes in pancreas in diabetes mellitus; purpose – to estimated regularities of structure and blood supply in pancreatic islets of rats of different age in the norm and in experimental of streptozotocin inducted diabetes mellitus; methods – histological, electron microscopic, biochemical, morphometrical, mathematical statistics; the results – peculiarities of structural organization of rat pancreatic islets in the postnatal period of ontogenesis are estimated in normal and their morpho-functional changes in the dynamics development and course of streptozotocin inducted diabetes mellitus (2, 4, 6, 8, 10 weeks days); branch – medicine.
