Essay

In the thesis the problem of training of future social pedagogues to the practical work with young people in rural society is investigated and the theoretical analysis of current approaches to solve this problem is given. It is revealed that the problem of future social pedagogues in a rural society is at the level of formation, coordination of the categorical-conceptual structure and the allocation of basic scientific approaches. Social pedagogue’s essence of the professional activity, peculiarities of professional functions and the component structure of readiness to work in the rural society is defined; social and educational characteristics of rural society and the specificity of the social pedagogue’s activity in it is identified. The key definitions of the concepts “society”, “rural society”, “professional readiness of the future social pedagogues to work in the rural society” “training of the future social pedagogues to the work in a rural society” are investigated in the research. The main functions, activities, social and professional roles of a social pedagogue in rural areas which are being realized through the directions of the social pedagogue’s work in the rural society are analyzed. It is proved that the vocational training of future social pedagogues to the work in a rural society is a complex dynamic system which can be represented as a specially developed technology training the result of which is the readiness of social pedagogues for their practical work. Specificity of social pedagogues’ activity in the rural society needed the identification of the components of their professional readiness to the work: motivational, meaningful and emotional-reflexive. These components are the necessary condition for the successful preparation of future social pedagogues to the practical activity in rural areas. The vocational training technique for the future social pedagogues which experimentally confirmed its effectiveness is developed. The results of the thesis can be used in the training of social pedagogues of higher educational institutions of different levels of accreditation, in training future teachers to use the basic social and educational activity in their work, for teacher training courses and leadership training to improve the effectiveness of the work in a social and humanitarian spheres in a rural society.
