The dissertation is dedicated to complex investigation of development of postal branch on the Ukrainian lands belonged to Russian Empire during the XIXth - in the early XX th centuries. The work is based on the wide list of published and archival sources that were able to discover objectively the process of formation of the state post communication on the territory of Ukraine, analyze the main aspects of making free post-office.
