Essay

It was studied the functional state of the endothelium, the system of microcirculation, the transport properties of the peritoneal membrane and the residual kidney function in patients with chronic kidney disease stage VD on peritoneal dialysis. It was discovered, that in patients with chronic kidney disease stage VD endothelial dysfunction is observed, which progresses with increasing of the duration of treatment and causes a disturbance of microcirculation, which is associated with deterioration of residual kidney function and increasing peritoneal membrane transport properties. Application of L-arginine-L-glutamate and nebivolol improves functional status of endothelium and microcirculation, thereby reduces the permeability of peritoneal membrane for solvents and improves residual kidney function. Greater efficiency has been achieved with a combined usage of these drugs, in comparison to monotherapy.
