Essay

In the dissertation, based on an open prospective, randomized controlled trial involving 197 patients, it was found that prolonged use of antibiotics in the treatment of patients with pyelonephritis leads to changes in indigenous microbiota of the intestine, which initiates the development of oxidative stress and violates the intestine colonization resistance with the formation of hyperoxaluria. Hyperoxaluria, in turn, increases the risk of pyelonephritis recurrences formation and is the risk factor for the CKD progression. The use of Sodium Nucleonate and Symbiform may be useful for both to prevent the recurrences and reduce the urinary oxalate excretion in the patients with pyelonephritis.
