Essay

In the conducted research for the first time the frequency of detection of active herpes virus infection in children with chronic glomerulonephritis was established. It was analyzed how the presence of this infection affected the course of chronic glomerulonephritis, as well as the appropriateness of the appointment of antiviral drugs in the complex therapy of such patients was justified. The optimal methods for diagnostics of active herpes virus infection in children suffering from chronic glomerulonephritis are determined. The condition of local immunity has been analyzed in patients with chronic glomerulonephritis in the presence of herpes virus infection, as well as some parameters of the general immune status (IgA, antibodies to C1q component of the complement) have been studied. It has been found that secretory IgA (sIgA) in patients with glomerulonephritis has been reduced, however, in patients with nephrotic syndrome and herpes virus infection has been elevated, highest values of SLPI were observed in the presence of herpes virus infection in patients. After receiving antiviral therapy, MCP-1 was reduced, and in patients who for some reason did not receive antiviral therapy, the content of this chemokine increased.
