Object – the process of professional training of future teachers; aim – to find out the influence of the researched and scientifically substantiated stages of polycultural competence forming of future teachers on the efficiency of the process of their professional training; methods – theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty – the research has been the first to work out, scientifically substantiate and experimentally test the stages of future teachers’ polycultural competence forming on the principles of competence-oriented, culturological, humanistic, personality-activity-oriented approaches; the definition of the term “polycultural competence of future teachers” as an integrated personality formation has been presented; forms and methods of raising the quality of professional training of future teachers have been investigated; results – the researched and scientifically substantiated stages of future teachers’ polycultural competence forming have undergone testing and the importance of their realization in the professional training in higher educational establishments has been proved. The main scientific ideas of the research and practical data are recommended for the implementation in teaching specialized pedagogical subjects in colleges, institutes, universities, during teaching practice and while preparing diploma and master degree papers, in the process of curriculum development as well as in the development of special professional disciplines and teaching manuals devoted to polycultural competence forming in students of schools during their class and out of school activities; field – pedagogy.
