Essay

Thesis deals with the social and philosophical aspects of the phenomenon of consciousness. The reconstruction of the problem is based on a systematic approach by in different philosophical traditions from antiquity to modern times. The author proved that consciousness is an integral, crucial feature of any social entity, including ethnicity. Besides, there were analyzed forms and varieties of ethnic identity, their relationship and role in the formation of ethnic identity, and their influence on modern nation-creating processes.
