Essay

The object comprises social and political, ideological, national and cultural processes that were taking place in Eastern Galicia in the interwar period and that were connected with Ukrainian periodicals. The purpose is to investigate the influence of Ukrainian periodicals on national and cultural life of Eastern Galicia in the interwar period. The practical significance consists in expanding scientific knowledge about the Ukrainian language periodicals of Eastern Galicia as a factor of the development of national and cultural life in 1918 - 1939. The methods include dialectical method, synthesis and analysis, generalization, historical and comparative, problem-chronological methods and content analysis.
