Ielina T. Improvement of design of the weft knitted fabric by the three-dimensional geometrical modelling of its structure

Dissertation is directed on the improvement of design of the weft knitted fabric due to creation and use of 3D geometrical models of its structure. The system of encoding, the Topological model of the knitted fabric is worked out. Methodology of calculation of coordinates of supporting points of В-spline, that represents the axial line of a free-form segment of yarn in the structure of the weft knitted fabric is first offered. Principles of three-dimensional geometrical design of the weft knitted fabric are first set forth.The use of the values of angles of slope of tangent at the point of interlacing, found experimentally for the investigated kinds of yarn and modules of loop is suggested.
