Status and characteristics of food security in the regions of Ukraine studied. The concept of "food security in the region" that "access to food" considered. Monitoring of food security in the region improved. Trinitarian approach is used to determine the availability of food. Hierarchical decomposition of indicators of physical, economic and social access to food is made and used in the identification of threats to food security in the region. A comprehensive assessment of food security in the region developed. The logical framework approach of the theory augmented structural harmony of systems relatively hierarchical decomposition of indicators of physical, economic and social access to food. Organization of information analytical support to ensure food security in the region improved. Information-Analytical Center assess food security in the region set up as an advisory body in the structure of local government.
