Logovskiy I. The Local authorities of Kharkivska gubernia activities coping with natural disasters and liquidation of their consequences (the second half of XIX century – the beginning of XX century)

The object of the research – administrative and self-administrative local authorities of Kharkov gubernia. The dissertation purpose – to carry out complex research of local authorities of Kharkov gubernia activities on the prevention and liquidation of fires, epidemic and epizooty diseases. The methods: comparative-historical, historical-genetic, problem-chronological, retrospective. Scientific novelty: the thesis based on wide historiographical and primary sources studying carries out a complex research of the Local authorities of Kharkivska gubernia activities coping with natural disasters and liquidation of their consequences in the second half of XIX century – the beginning of XX century, in particular fires, the epidemics of smallpox, plague, cholera, typhoid and syphilis, mass infectious diseases of livestock. Practical value of research: the results of dissertation can be used at the further researches of a history of activity of local authorities, spelling of scientific articles and monographies; by preparation of lecture and special courses on a history of Ukraine, Russia, study of local-lore, history of bodies of civil protection, sanitary-epidemiological and veterinary medicine; by development of directions of reforming of local self-management and civil protection.
