Essay

Object of study: highly pathogenic avian influenza and its specific prevention. Purpose - to conduct the epizootological monitoring and analyzel epizootic situation of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Ukraine, to isolate epizootic virus, examine its basic biological properties, conduct preclinical and clinical trials of inactivated emulsion vaccine against highly pathogenic avian influenza vaccination, and determine where in the system of prevent disease. The thesis is devoted to analysis of the epizootic situation of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Ukraine, isolation and investigation of the biological properties of epizootic virus strains, preclinical and clinical trials ofi inactivated emulsion vaccine against highly pathogenic avian influenza and to determine the role of vaccination in the prevention of disease specific measures. It was conduct epizootological monitoring of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Ukraine, established circulation of pathogens of H5N1subtype in poultry in 2005-2006 and 2008. It was investigated outbreaks peculiarities, described the course, clinical signs and pathological changes in poultry in household and industrial farms. It was isolated and identified Ukrainian isolate HPAIV A/hen/Syvash/02/05 subtype H5N1, studied its biological and molecular genetic characteristics. The dynamics of the formation and duration of specific immunity in poultry, the immune system after vaccination and anti-epizootic efficacy of inactivated emulsion vaccine against highly pathogenic avian influenza "AviFluVak IECVM" under the poultry farms conditions. It was prooved the possibility of application of specific prevention as a means of control of highly pathogenic avian influenza in farms.
