Atamanyuk Y. Recreational System of Ivano-Frankivsk Region (Regional Cartographic Analysis)

In the paper factors and peculiarities of formation, functioning, tendencies and perspectives of the development of regional recreational system in terms of the territory of Ivano-Frankivsk region are examined. On the basis of evaluation of natural, natural-anthropogenic, social and historical recreational resources and infrastructure the resource-recreational rate of administrative territorial areas in Ivano-Frankivsk are defined. According to the level of recreational and tourist resources quantity. Besides, he points at the existence of four recreational districs: The Dnister District, the Prut-Cheremosh, the Central Carpathian and the Carpathian ones. For the investigation of recreational system in Ivano-Frankivsk region appropriate structurally functioning cartographic models and geographic information system techniques are used.
