Sukhoviy M. The legal status of the judiciary institute in the context of judicial reform in Ukraine

Dissertation investigates the legal status of the judiciary institute at the present stage of judicial reform in Ukraine. The theoretical and methodological analysis of the legal status of institutions of the judiciary in Ukraine is carried out in the work. The following signs of judiciary institution are determined: disputes only on specific incidents, preclusion of judgments, the judiciary is part of a system of checks and balances. This work also proved the necessity of determining litigation as a special source of national legislation. The experience of foreign countries in improving the legal status of the institutions of the judiciary is also studied in the paper. The leading role in the dissertation belongs to determination of priorities of reforming of the institutional component.
