Object - presentation of CRIMEA toponimic concept in epistolary texts of the period in A.P. Chekhov's life when he lived in Crimea. Purpose - to identify the structure and linguistic means of CRIMEA concept manifestation in epistolary texts of the Crimean period in A.P. Chekhov's life. Methods - descriptive; ontological, componential and distributive approaches, method of modelling; concept and discourse analysis. The thesis shows the structure and linguistic means of CRIMEA toponimic concept manifestation in epistolary texts of the Crimean period in A.P. Chekhov's life. Linguo-cogitive and discourse analysis has resulted in identifying the correlation between knowledge embedded into the language with the perception, understanding of the reality by the addresser of the letters and depicting social, cultural, communicative and cognitive features specific to the value system of the author of the letters. Cognitive and discourse analysis of the basic frame NATURE has resulted in describing its structure. Comparative analysis shows coincidence in perception and evaluation of atmospheric events with general understanding of these phenomena. The thesis reveals author's individual assessments and characteristics. Analysis of linguistic means has made it possible to identify peculiar features of A.P. Chekhov's epistolary style.
