The dissertation looks into complex research of processes and events, connected with Ukrainian-Polish relations in Volyn region in the context of Russia government policy of the 1795-1862. The most important factors have been highlighted, such as: Russian national policy in the region, Polish social program, social-economical side of the relations, mutual imaging of the two nations, inter-confessional confrontation in Volyn region. The main tendencies of Ukrainian-Polish relations and the regional specifics of their functioning inside the province and it's parts have been looked into. The impact of Russian government national policy on the subject of research has been identified.
