Object: general cultural component of the training of primary school teachers; goal: to justify theoretically and experimentally verify the model of training of primary school teachers to the formation of junior pupils’ general cultural competence (qualification "Language and Literature" (Ukrainian) methods: theoretical empirical, statistical, novelty: for the first time developed a theoretical model and training of primary school teachers to the formation of junior pupils’ general cultural competence (qualification "Language and Literature" (Ukrainian) designed a set of didactic methods of preparing students to form general cultural competence (business Game, set educational problems and situations, software and teaching tools, training projects), the criteria (value-motivation, content and organizational, emotional, regulatory, operational and effective); clarifies the meaning of "general cultural competence younger student," "future readiness primary school teacher to the formation of junior pupils’ general cultural competence"; singled out the structural components of preparedness of teachers to the formation of junior pupils’ general cultural competence (motivation, content, technology-reflective) and level (critical, situational, active, creative) of their formation; developed educational and methodological research process, further developed the idea of binary cultural competence and approaches the process of training of primary school teachers and its scientific and methodological support; results: materials that was obtained in the study can be used by teachers of higher educational institutions of all accreditation levels during conclusion curriculum, courses to improve the professional level of the education system; field of study: theory and methods of professional education.
