Essay

The dissertation deals with the peculiarity of the developing of the traditional culture of Chechelnyk inhabitants, which is situated in the south-east of Podillia in the 19th - the beginning of the 21st century. The historiographical question, historical development of inhabitants, toponуmу, ethnical formation and religious concession are discussed. The special attention is paid to the material (traditional trade, buildings and national clothes) culture.
