Yakymiva O. Forming Mercy as a Professional Quality in Medical College Students during Professional Training.

Object - the process of professional training of medical college students; aim - to find out the influence of theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested pedagogical conditions on forming mercy as a professional quality of medical college students ; methods - theoretical, empirical, of mathematical statistics; novelty - the research is the first to provide a substantiation of pedagogical conditions allowing for forming mercy in medical college students: creating favourable environment, development of communicative skills and abilities in students; the term "nurse practitioner's mercy" has been specified as a professional integral quality incorporating worry, sympathy, pity for a patient and compassion; the criteria and indices of medical college students' mercy formation have been determined; the issues of content and means of professional training of prospective medical workers have acquired further investigation; results - the theoretically substantiated pedagogical conditions of forming mercy in medical college students have been experimentally tested and are recommended for implementation in professional training of prospective medical workers in higher educational establishments of III-IV levels of accreditation. Theoretical ideas and practical data of the dissertation can be used by pedagogical workers engaged in professional training of nurse practitioners in medical colleges and in writing teaching manuals and lectures on professional disciplines designed for training prospective nurse practitioners; field - pedagogy.
