The dissertation presents the theoretical generalization and new solution of the scientific task for determining the structure and blood supply of the optic nerve of a white rat in normal state.The new data of the dynamics of the components of blood flow changes and structure of the optic nerve of a white rat in the condition of the experimental form of diabetes mellitus have been received.The results of the research are the morphologic basis of the expediency of using the optic nerve of this experimental animal in creating biological models of ophthalmologic diseases.
