Essay

Characteristics of mineral exchange and bone remodeling in different stages of chronic kidney disease were studied with the aim to improve efficacy of treatment by means of pharmacological correction of mineral and bone metabolism.Combined treatment with alphacalcidol and strontium ranelate significantly improves pain syndrome and cause significant bone mass increase in predialysis chronic kidney disease compared with monotherapy of alfacalcidol.Combined treatment with alphacalcidol and sevelamer hydrochloride improves hyperphosphatemia and secondary hyperparathyroidism and prevents bone loss without causing hypercalcemia as compared with calcium-containing phosphate binders.
