A retrospective analysis of the formation of cultural and historical features of social interaction in Ukraine and selected basic components of Ukrainian national identity conceptualized as a sociocultural phenomenon patriotic values in the formation and development of modern Ukrainian society. Solved dialogical variation value grounds of patriotism in the context of contemporary globalization transformations, the place of patriotism in the socio-cultural values of mankind. Revealed the specific nature of Ukrainian patriotism at the present stage of development, the recommendations for the optimization of patriotic relations in modern Ukrainian reality.
