The object is the urban population of Katerinoslav province at the end of the 19-th centure and at the beginning of the 20-th century. Aim of research is the historical reconstruction of structure and composition of urban population of Katerinoslav province, maintenance of him everyday life at the end of the 19-th centure and at the beginning of the 20-th century. The research methods are general (historical, logical, typology); historical (problem-chronological, historical-genetic, comparative-historical, historical-typological, historical-systematic, content-analysis, mathematical statistics, historical simulation, simultaneous, diachronic) and related methods Science - Sc. method of social psychology. Results - the features of forming of urban population of Katerinoslav province are found out in a modernisation period, originality of him marriage-domestic organization, specific of sexual-age-old, ethnic, confessional composition, social structure, and also, features of way of life, realization of leisure and general standard of living of basic groups of urban population of province, that in the end and defined the level of urbohenezys in a region as an important constituent of that time modernisation processes.
