Korolyova O. Sport magazines of independent Ukraine: current status and tendencies of development

In the candidate thesis, a systematic and comprehensive analysis of the sports magazines of independent Ukraine on the materials of magazines "Football", "Tennis" and "Ring" is provided. In the scientific research the current status of specialized sport magazines of independent Ukraine "Football", "Tennis" and "Ring" is characterized and the main tendencies of development are defined. The candidate thesis presents the causes and external factors that led to the evolution of sport publication in Ukraine since their inception to the present, analyzes the current status and conditions for the operation of sport magazines, a comprehensive methodology for analysis of specialized magazines about sports based on different approaches to the study of sports mass media is developed. The author characterizes sport publications according to typological features and defines their position in the modern system of mass media. The candidate thesis identifies the peculiarities of information model; genre and stylistic design in articles of magazines "Football", "Tennis" and "Ring" and gives the characterization of compositional and graphical model according to architectonic elements.
