Object - congenital diaphragmatic hernia (СDH) in newborns; purpose - to improve the results of treatment of CDH in infants by developing an algorithm of early diagnosis and treatment strategy based on the study of clinical-anatomical and morphological-functional features malformation, methods - clinical, radiographic, ultrasonic, measurement pre-ductal and post- ductal blood oxygen saturation, morphological, statistics; results - for the first time in a single clinical data, analyzed the causes of deaths in both stillborn and among the living, not operated and operated infants with CDH, studied the clinical manifestations and anatomical features of the CDH and their effect on the survival of infants with this disease for the first time to determine the frequency and characteristics of morphological changes of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems with CDH and the impact of hypoplastic lungs and heart on neonatal survival, defined by the presence of pulmonary hypertension and the refresh rate of fetal-type circulation from right to left shunting of blood in the CDH; first defined prenatal predictors of survival of fetuses with CDH and the indications for its secondary prevention, the algorithm postnatal diagnosis of this malformation in newborns, the first time developed criteria for readiness newborns with PDG for surgery, developed the tactics and strategy of CDH treatment in infants and assessed their efficiency; branch – medicine.
