Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of pedagogical support of gifted children at the comprehensive schools of Spain. The work characterizes the process of gifted children pedagogical support development in Spain, determines its development periods, and outlines the peculiarities of high ability children educational response. On the basis of regulatory and scientific pedagogical literature analysis the theoretical approaches to the meaning "pedagogical support of gifted children", to the means of gifted children identification and leading forms and methods of pedagogical support of gifted children are disclosed; areas of gifted children pedagogical support in Spain are outlined; the peculiarities of organization of high ability children educational process at a typical comprehensive educational establishment are characterized. The thesis presents the analysis and generalization of contents of gifted children pedagogical support at Spanish schools and the means of high ability children identification, determination of special establishments for psycho-pedagogical assessment (the centres of educational and psycho-pedagogical orientation). The characteristics of contents and forms of training teachers for work with gifted children in Spain are generalized in the paper. The essence and the content of forms and methods of high ability children pedagogical response (acceleration, grouping, educational enrichment, extracurricular support) are disclosed in the dissertation. The research outlines the usage perspectives of Spanish educators' positive experience at work with gifted children in Ukraine.
