The dissertation is a comprehensive research in Ukrainian Studies that unfolds the problem about keeping national minorities' ethnic identity in the context of their public associations. The actuality of this paper is related to globalization processes which determine nowadays the progress of human civilization. The globalization's reverse side is a highlighting of ethnic communities' specific characters. That makes the problem of identity and identification practices the major theme of general philosophical discussions. Ukraine is a multinational state: according to the latest census there are 22 % of national minorities out of the total population. Ethnic renaissance and the awakening of civic consciousness directly related to the Ukrainian society. The preservation of ethno-cultural identity of the national minorities and the formation of the territorial patriotism are the defining targets of the ethno-political course of Ukraine. Nowadays the leading role in its practical implementation is given to the public associations of the national minorities, these make up an extensive network of the institutional public initiative. Thus, the intensive development of the ethno-political sphere of the social life in our country contributes to the scientific relevance of these issues. The research of the problem of the National public associations' role in the preservation of ethnic identity was conducted based on the standpoint of modern Ukrainian Studies (the branch of science studies of Ukraine and Ukrainian people). Involvement of scientific integration's different ways allowed to comprehensively highlight the topic of the stated problem.
