3. The dissertation is devoted to the estimation of storage capacity of late-ripening apple sorts grown in the conditions of the southern Steppe of Ukraine under application of antioxidant compositions; and to selection of the antioxidant compositions for preharvest fruit treatment enabling extension of their high quality storage period. The comparative evaluation of apples of various pomological sorts has been done based on formation and chemical components preserving depending on weather conditions. Influence of antioxidant compositions on keeping capacity, commercial quality, natural mass loss, level of physiological deterioration and microbiological deceases, changes of the basic chemical components of apples has been studied. The comparative evaluation of the fruit storage capability of the pomological sorts under investigation has been made using Harrington function. Cost efficiency of apples keeping under their preharvest treatment with antioxidant compositions AKM and DEPAA has been calculated. The results of the research have been implemented in production.
