Essay

This dissertation was authored in support of a scientific degree of candidate of sciences (History) - 20.02.22 - Military history. - The National Defense University of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2013. The dissertation researches scientific development status and analyses resource base for the training of military medical specialists for Armed Forces of Ukraine, it proposes own classification of the history of military-medical personnel training. There was an analysis made of military-political, scientific-pedagogical, normative-legal and financial and economic factors which influenced formation of own military-medical educational establishments in the country. Training of reserve medical service officers in higher educational establishments of Ukraine is analyzed. Main stages of creation of military-medical educational establishments are defined and explained, and their activity is explored. The process of formation of Ukrainian military-medical academy is shown, which provides for the training of military doctors and pharmacists, runs refresher and development courses for different groups of military-medical personnel. Department for training of the assistants of military doctors of Vinnytsya Medical College named after D.K. Zabolotnyy provides Armed Forces of Ukraine with military-medical specialists of bachelor degree. Pre-diploma training of future military doctors and pharmacists is done at the Department of doctors training for Armed Forces of Ukraine of National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomoletz. The integration of military-medical education and State Comprehensive medical training is shown. The activity of training department to prepare medical instructors for the army is researched. The research made substantiates the system and its parts of military-medical personnel training in Ukraine. Practical recommendations are made as to how to improve military-medical personnel training at current stage of restructuring of Armed Forces of Ukraine.
