This discertation proves the results of research in cognitive style as a predispositional characteristic of the professional competency of telephone consultants. Models of cognitive style as characteristic of the growth of professional competency of telephone consultants are supported and empirically tested. Every sphere of service in telephone consultation expresses cognitive-style profiles of professional competence.The cognitive styles which are the most notable in the professional competency of telephone consultants, are the realization of effective presentations, the quick use of and the constant absorption of new information, and the least notable - special work which is stable informational bases and monotonous incoming calls.
