Essay

The aim of the thesis is to improve the performance of sorting humps by defining rational technical and operational parameters of the impact speed control of cuts based on evidence-based approaches to integrated assessment. The object of research is the breaking-up and making-up process on the sorting humps. This thesis uses the following methods: mathematical statistics, numerical methods for partial differential equations, theory of shunting, simulation modeling, correlation and regression analysis, design of experiments, methods of economic-mathematical modeling and feasibility analysis. First obtained depending on the quality parameters impact speed control of cuts on the sorting humps, a factor that is the error of braking of cuts and parameters profile of sorting track that allow to determine the duration of shunting operations at the parks sorting stations. Improved method for the determination of rational technical and operational parameters of the impact speed control of cuts that, unlike the existing ones, can establish the accuracy of the impact speed control and parameters profile of sorting track, which minimizes the total cost on the breaking-up of trains on the sorting hump. Improved mathematical model of the breaking-up process of trains on hump, which, unlike the existing ones, can take into account the special terms of the breaking-up of trains in the presence of wagons, forbidden to break-up on the hump without the locomotive.
