Otechko S. The territorial organization of the transport system in the Kharkiv region (based on the example of the motor transport subsystem).

The thesis is dedicated to the issues of social-geographic research of the motor transport subsystem as a component of the Kharkiv region transport system. In terms of the social geography perspective and system approach the notion "territorial organization of the regional transport system" is enhanced and its basic elements are organized. The basic research areas of the transport system are analyzed. Scientific methodological approach and methodological research framework are defined. Historic-geographical peculiarities and stages of transport development in the Kharkiv region are stated. The actual state of the Kharkiv region transport system is analyzed, and its position in the national transport system is determined. The subsystem structure of the regional motor transport is revealed and characterized. The factors of the regional motor transport development are defined. The district grouping of the Kharkiv region is made according to indicators of motor transport development. The districts are arranged by similarity and development homogeneity of the motor transport subsystem. The peculiarities of territorial organization of the regional motor transport are defined. The development issues of the motor transport are established and their possible solutions are indicated.
