Essay

Object of study: biotechnology methods in plant breeding and seed garlic. Objective: theoretical and experimental study using modern biotechnological methods for the creation, propagation and conservation of breeding material of garlic. Results: Method of clonal micropropagation of garlic have been optimised, which includes experimentally substantiated composition of nutrient media for the cultivation of primary explants, implanting and adaptation of plants to the conditions of regeneration in vivo. The method of depositing collection samples of garlic in culture in vitro at low temperature (4?C) in standard medium or in medium with a high content of sucrose (120 g/l), which maintains 84,9-94,4% viable plants. The method of cryopreservation of garlic, which is based on the use of the subject of the apical meristem size of 2-3 mm and krioprotective solution PVS N, which maintains 75,3% of viable meristems. 56 collectible designs have been estimated, sources of productivity and hardiness have been selected. Garlic line G-25 (yield of 9,9 t/ha, 96% of hardiness, profitability 68,7%) was created and propagated by biotech.
