Object: the preparation of foster parents to care about orphans and children deprived of parental care in regional centers of social services for families, children and youth; purpose: a theoretical rationale, development and experimental verification of the effectiveness of social and pedagogical conditions for the preparation of foster parents to care about orphans and children deprived of parental care; methods: аnalysis of scientifical literature, synthesis, classification, systematization and generalization of facts, dialogue, questionnaires, interview, document analysis, socio-pedagogical experiment, statistical methods; novelty: theoretically substantiated and experimentally verified social and pedagogical conditions for the preparation of foster parents to care about orphans and children deprived of parental care; results: а program called „Competent foster care” and Pedagogical studio were created for foster parents. Also it was organized the activities of multidisciplinary team of different specialists; branch of science - social pedagogy.
