The thesis defines the theoretical and methodological foundations of family education in German pedagogy of 1895 - 1933; outlines and analyzes the main development directions of the theory and practice of family pedagogy in the light of traditional pedagogy, reformist and Marxist paradigm. The appearance of family pedagogy milestones, which were inherited in the investigated period are theoretically grounded and the category of family education in German educational environment that identifies social, economic and political priorities of different years is characterized.
