Essay

With the help of complex morphological methods the peculiarities of the heart chambers structures and vascular bed in postresection pulmonary arterial hypertension were elucidated. It was established that 3 month after right pulmonectomy there are phenomena of irregular, disproportionate hypertrophy and dilatation of the heart chambers with the increase of the stromal-cardiomyocytic ratio and relative volumes of stroma, affected cardiomyocytes and endothelial cells, reduction of capillary-cardiomyocyte ratio and reserve volumes of ventricles, thickening of arterial walls, narrowing of their lumen, as well as the significant reduction of myo-endocrine cells secretory activity of atria. It was found that prolonged postresection pulmonary arterial hypertension led to morphological reconstruction of the heart chambers at all levels of their structural organization. Under the conditions of modeled pathology crucial deviations of the structural homeostasis on the organic, tissue, cellular and ultrastructural levels in different parts of the heart were discovered. The degree of revealed morphological changes predominates in the right ventricle and right atrium of the decompensated cor pulmonale.
