Sovhyrya S. Histotopographic and immunohistochemical features of the structure of the mucous membrane of the human sphenoid sinus

The thesis is devoted to finding of the correlation volume of sphenoid sinus on age, sex, anthropometric data of skull; morphological characteristics of structural elements and factors of local protection of different mucosal walls of sphenoid sinus in people of different age groups.First identified the histostructural features of pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium of the mucous membrane of each wall of the sphenoid sinus in humans, mature, old and senile age. Using immunohistochemical marker SD34 the structure of micro vessels in subepithelial structures of different sphenoid sinus walls rights is revealed. Determined that in the back of the sinus sphenoid bone, which is characterized by a high content of growth zones in old people processes of angiogenesis may be observed.
