Muratova O. Genesis of Literary Movement 'Shistdesyatnytstvo' in Ukraine: historical aspect

The dissertation research deals with the origination process of Ukrainian literary movement 'shistdesyatnytstvo'. On the basis of a wide range of different sources a complex of objective historical prerequisites, both inner and outer, that caused the appearance of this phenomenon has been defined. Phasing of relationships between Ukrainian writers and the authority and the change of their character initiated by the latter to solve the authority problems of the Thaw are sustained. The aim, principles and mechanisms of party-state policy implementation in the sphere of literature during 1956 - 1964 have been analyzed. The scope of literary processes liberalization through the prism of literary-artistic activity of the communist party authority has been defined. The role of national and international constituents of the language factor in the appearance of literary movement 'shistdesyatnytstvo' in Ukraine has been clarified. The dislocation of literary intellectuals' cells that became the basis of formation of the pointed phenomenon has been revealed and the number of writers called 'shistdesyatnyky' in the Ukrainian SSR has been defined. For the first time in domestic historiography alongside with the traditional, both published and non-published, historical documents works of prose and poetry of cohort of Ukrainian creative artists called 'shistdesyatnyky' have been used as a historical source; this has made it possible to precisely characterize the spirits of Ukrainian writers at a very difficult and controversial stage of development of the soviet model of totalitarianism.
