In the presented thesis the holistic analysis of the theory and practice of the preparation of future teachers in higher educational establishments of Ukraine to the educational work in summer camps (the second half of the 20th century - the beginning of the 21st century) is made for the first time; main periods, content, forms and methods of organization of this preparation are defined, validated and characterized. The organization of summer pedagogical practice during the study period is characterized. The leading trends are analyzed and the perspectives of using of the acquired experience in the preparation of future teachers in higher educational establishments of Ukraine to the educational work in summer camps during the second half of the 20th century - the beginning of the 21st century in the present are defined.
