Object of study - personality characteristics of tax militia . Subject of study - the psychological characteristics of professional competence of tax police. systemic-structural method, the method of theoretical analysis and synthesis of scientific sources for the investigated problem, the method of objective observation, the method of psychodiagnostic test, the method of mathematical statystyky.Metod psychodiagnostic examination included a number of psychodiagnostic methods designed to study the main structural component of professional competence and namely: methods multivariate study of personality RB Kettle (16PF), multi-method study of personality (MBDO) questionnaire "Personal differential", "Diagnosis of satisfaction of basic needs" method "Diagnostic level empatiynyh abilities" V. Boyko, methods of diagnosis of aggressive and hostile reactions A.Basa-A.Darky, the questionnaire "Adaptability" questionnaire "General health - GHQ-28." Empirical sample were 97 males aged between 31 and 45 workers of tax militia in the Donetsk region, who had experience in state tax service 7-10 years. All study participants were divided by the department where they worked Specialists investigation department of the tax police had 48 people, and of the Anti-corruption in the state tax service - 49. Scientific novelty of the results is that for the first time: defined structural model of professional competence (the case of tax militia) revealed a relationship between the level of professional competence and qualities necessary for her personality, refined and full of semantic definition of professional competence of the individual, had received further of understanding of the dynamics of change in the psyche, arising from the action of stress factors;based on empirically grounded account of quantitative data on adverse change in the psyche developed program and method of forming the professional competence of the individual, was the further development of understanding of the importance of personal qualities for the establishment of professional competence. The practical significance of the study is that: the use of quantitative data on the degree of manifestation of personality traits that are required for a certain section of the tax police, allows for scientifically based professional selection of candidates to serve in the police and tax authorities justify the psychological characteristics of the individual experts when moving them a higher position; diagnosis of adverse changes in the psyche of tax police and the mental preparation for the developed program allows timely and psycho activating events that lead to improved personal characteristics and tax increase performance of official duties; obtained in the objective results can be used in research and teaching in higher education courses in general, legal psychology and industrial psychology.Scope institutions of higher education, psychological services.
