Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the analysis of events and situations of everyday life as parts of social reality in terms of their constitution in the experience. It’s found out that social phenomenology as a tool for such analysis allows us to study the elements of the social world as constituted phenomena and results of the structuring of subjects’ experiences. Social reality itself is open for research in terms of its openness to subjects in structures of experience. The situation can be defined as constituted in the subject’s experience phenomenon, that equals by the meaning to the disposition of circumstances (arrangement of facts in some form), which depends on the given sense and encourages the subject to a particular choice. The event is defined as an element of the subject’s experience, constituted by him through the procedures of providing meaning and grouping facts and cases in the series, the value of which depends on the context in which they are placed.
