Svitlynets O. Tourism as a socio-cultural phenomenon: socio-philosophical discourse.

Within the thesis phenomenon of tourism is examined as a cultural phenomenon by the means of social - philosophical discourse; status and prospects of tourism in the context of social and cultural capital of modern Ukraine is evaluated. Having reviewed tourism as a coherent system, the facts about impact of tourism on the society development are determined, potential development zones are identified, which are accumulated in certain scientific fields of study. The phenomenon of tourism is analyzed, place and role of tourism in modern world are cleared up, and its essence and structure are reviewed. Within the thesis the current status of tourism industry is assessed and a number of decisions on how to improve its work and functioning of its individual structures are offered. Socio-cultural impact of tourism on various spheres of society is characterized.
