The dissertation is devoted to the socio-geographical study of regional air transportation systems (RATS). The dissertation defines the essence of the scientific category "regional air transportation system (RATS)", creates the methodology of its socio-geographic analysis and forecasting, evaluates factors affecting its formation and development. The network of regional air transportation systems of Ukraine substantiated, territorial structure and level of its development, as well as elements of the territorial organization studied. A forecast of regional air transportation systems in the near future elaborated. Main directions of territorial structure improving defined.
