Bets I. The border guards’ research competence formation in military higher educational institutions

The content features, essence and structure of the term «the border guard’s research competence» have been determined as well as its importance as a cadets’ readiness to the future professional activity. The criteria, their indicators have been determined in order to define the status of the border guards’ research competence level. On the basis of the future officers’ of the State Border Service of Ukraine professional training theory and practice a set of the cadets’ research competence formation in higher military educational establishments pedagogical conditions have been grounded and experimentally verified: the development of the cadets’ motivation for research activities, consistent introduction of the research activities elements in the learning process using research and search methods, the formation of the cadets’ research skills by working in scientific societies and training at the border, the cadets’ and instructors’ interaction on the basis of subject-subject relations, dialogue and creating the success situation by the instructor during the research work. According to the results of experimental work the guidelines for the formation of the border guards’ research competence developed.
