This dissertation is dedicated to the complex research of the main tendencies' peculiarities of the period of the democratic press transit. The comparative analysis of the press in Ukraine and Iraqi Kurdistan during the independence peculiarities of transformation of different types of media in the transitive period matched the stages of social and political development of the democratic transformation of the information space.
