Gerasymchuk N. Feuilleton transformation on the pages of the Kiev press in the second half of the XIXth and the early XXth century.: Purpose, genre essence, style

The dissertation deals with the origins of feuilleton, its intended purpose (the role, the heading, the editorial classification and the genre peculiarities) in the newspapers of the second half of the XIXth century and early XXth century. The development of the newspaper feuilleton in the Russian and Ukrainian language Kiev press in the second half of the XIXth century and the early XXth century (1863-1914) has been studied. The main topics which newspaper feuilletonists focused on in the second half of the XIXth century and the early XXth century have been determined. The research of the peculiarities of the creation of the feuilleton genre varieties, the use of documentary, artistic and stylistic means for making satirical images has been done.
