Essay

The object of the research – socio-economic development of the Ukrainian ethnic lands and other regions of compact and disperse residing of Ukrainians, which during second half of ХІХ - the beginnings of ХХ were in administrative borders of Russian province and regions. The dissertation purpose: on the basis of complex and unprejudiced study of source base to systematize and to reconstruct a socio-economic history of Ukrainian diaspora of Russia; to investigate subsystem of the Ukrainian handicraft as a factor of modernization of the Russian economy and indicator of transformation processes of the Russian society in second half of ХІХ - beginning of ХХ. The methods: analysis, synthesis, problem-chronological, historical-chronological, method of analogy, method of the logic and statistical analysis. Scientific novelty: for the first time in domestic historiography the research of Ukrainian diaspora evolution in socio-economic space of Russia is carried out, the processes of creation and functioning of the small industrial enterprises in regions of compact and disperse residing of Ukrainians in pre-Soviet Russia are investigated. Practical value of research: the materials of the dissertation can be used as a theoretical basis for the further scientific study of a history of development of small industrial business of the Ukrainian ethnic population of Russia, for preparation of the educational and methodical manuals, spelling of a wide circle historical, ethno-cultural, local-lore studies, ethnographic, scientific-cognitive and reference books. Sphere of use: higher educational institutions.
