Filippova N. Derivational means of expression the degree of indication in the modern Russian language

Object - the semantic category of measures; aim - to discover semantic and word-formative structure of adjectives with different prepositive stems with the meaning of indication degree and to determine the priorities of their stylistic use; methods - descriptive method, morphemic and word-formative analysis, valence's analysis, analysis of dictionary definitions, techniques of contextological and transformational analysis, method of linguistic modeling with use of the Internet sources; novelty - for the first time adjective's prepositive stems with the meaning of indication degree are comprehensively characterized; the full list of prepositive elements is compiled, the method of analysis of the proposed material is developed; results - in the study the system-onomasiological approach to the interpretation of the category of measures on the derivational language's level are realized, it demonstrates a valence of prepositive stems with the meaning of indication degree; the notion of "neutral" and "expressive" stems with the meaning of indication degree is put into linguistic use; materials of the research can be used in university courses of lexicology and word-formation of the modern Russian language, in linguodidactics and lexicographical practice when describing prepositive units and adjectives with prepositive stems with the meaning of indication degree, collected and analyzed material provides the basis for a special dictionary of adjective's prepositive stems with the meaning of indication degree; branch - linguistics, word-formation.
